John Paul Hansen is the founding producer for jpaulhansenmusic or jphm for short. Currently, he is working on his first full album, J.P.H. I and has not been given a release date yet.

JP Hansen's first project was a hip-hop album that never made it to it's final release. Instead, when it was completed, it was sealed away in the jpaulhansenmusic studio vault.

Hansen took up guitar at the age of 13, out of a fascination for music, after hearing his Uncle Peter Hansen play a cdr of recordings that he had made in New York. He quickly took on an interest in guitar lessons. His father began paying a man to teach, but soon the man gave up on his student.

JP Hansen attended a private school in his childhood years, but it only lasted until 1995. At Silver Springs Christian Academy, John meet another gentleman who volunteered as a tutor for the students. This man was amazing in the musical world in many ways and John became fond of the musical talent that he displayed. What was most amazing to him was the fact that he was legally blind. That man's name was Bob Freeman.

Eventually, JP Hansen was pulled from the private school and was excited to go to school away from home. Of course this was concerning an agreement with his father John Patrick Hansen and after he graduated from the Reno, NV school, the military became his next option in life careers. Having entered a rocky marriage, he soon discharged the military and left the United States Army and headed back to his home-state, Nevada.
